ASTM A182 F316L Stainless Steel Forged Threaded Fittings
Due to the addition of Mo, the corrosion resistance, atmospheric corrosion resistance and high temperature strength of F316L SS is excellent and it can be used in harsh conditions and high temperature service. 316L stainless steel is austenitic stainless steel and cann't be strengthened by heat treatment. It has good strength, plasticity, toughness, cold forming and good low temperature performance. The addition of 2% Mo to Cr18Ni8 makes the steel have excellent resistance to reducing medium and pitting corrosion. It has good corrosion resistance in various organic acids, inorganic acids and seawater.
F316L Forged Fittings are known for their overall resistance properties, especially pitting and crevice corrosion. F316L Stainless Steel is lower carbon containing variant of F316 and is immune from sensitization. SS316L is well-known for its elevated temperature tensile strength, formability and weldability. The low carbon content makes SS316L resistive to carbide precipitation.
