Copper Nickel C70600 is also known as Copper Nickel 90/10 because it is made up of 10% nickel or as ASTM B111 and ASME SB111. C70600 is known for its moderate strength, weldability, and formability. The inclusion of controlled quantities of iron and manganese also give the 90/10 alloy an extraordinary resistance to general corrosion and stress cracking, as well as to erosion and impingement due to turbulent water containing air bubbles and silt flowing at high velocities.
Copper Nickel Pipe Fittings are used in pipe systems to connect straight pipe or tubing sections, adapt to different sizes or shapes and for other purposes, such as regulating fluid flow. Pipe Fittings are used in a piping system to change direction or function, which is mechanically joined to the system. The simplest way to achieve this is to bend the pipe in the direction required, but this process will stretch and thin the outer wall of the pipe whilst thickening and wrinkling, the inner wall of the pipe.
