ASTM B462 Hastelloy C276 N10276 Spectacle Blind Flange
Alloy C276 Spectacle Blind Flanges are capable of being extruded or hot formed. It should be solution heat treated after the hot forming process. It's made from two metal discs that are attached to each other by a small section of steel. Its shape is similar to a pair of glasses or “spectacles” so it's called spectacle blind. One end of it has an opening to help flow through the pipe during operation and the other end is solid to block flow during maintenance. It's usually installed as a permanent device to separate process piping systems.
