ASTM B564 N06600 WNRF Nickel Alloy Forged Flange
Inconel 600 Flanges are known to show good tensile strength at an elevated temperature up to 1150ºC while exhibiting freedom from stress related corrosion cracking. The high chromium content in the alloy of Nickel Alloy 600 Flanges improves their oxidation resistance properties. While the high nickel content added to the alloy imparts flanges with good corrosion resistance under reducing conditions. Adding nickel to the alloy ensures that the ASTM B564 Alloy 600 WNRF Flange has the ability to withstand elevated temperature settings.
ASTM B564 UNS N06600 WNRF Nickel Alloy Forged Flanges have high ductility and very high tensile or yield strength values. The derivative of both its high strength and ductility is on account of the higher levels of nickel added in their alloy. Nickel, by itself, offers the best properties when it comes to ductility.
The B564 N06600 Alloy 600 WNRF Flange is usually used in environments that contain ammonia or where pitting is a regular occurrence such as in freshwater, brine solutions or marine environments. In addition, alloy 600 is also suited to applications exposed to exhaust gases as well as most organic acids and compounds. Alloy 600 Blind Flanges also perform well at cryogenic temperatures, without compromising its mechanical properties. Applications of the Alloy 600 RTJ Flanges include carburising and nitriding atmospheres, food processing, furnace components to withstand oxidising as well as nuclear engineering and spark electrodes.
