Corrugated tube is made from Stainless Steel Tube with corrugations on pipe surface and inside, have better heat transfer efficiency than plain straight tube.
Corrugated Fin Tube has several spiral projections on the inner and outer surface of this tube. The constant for overall heat transfer has been remarkably improved due to the flow impact on the inner and outer surface of this tube caused by the corrugation, compared with for sleek tubes.
How corrugated tube is different from plain tube?
In a smooth tube, fluids generally follow a smooth path in which the particles do not interfere with each other. This is known as laminar flow. However, in the case of corrugated tubes, this smooth flow is disrupted causing tiny whirlpool regions to form and creating turbulence (turbulent flow).
