The copper-nickel alloy chosen for seawater service contains 30 to 10 per cent nickel and up to 70-90% copper. Cu-Ni 90/10 also has valuable iron and manganese additions, which are necessary to maintain good corrosion resistance. Copper Nickel 90/10 is usually used where high temperature is needed and also gives long last service life.
