ASTM A213 T9 Alloy Steel Studded Fin Tube
ASTM A213 T9 Alloy Steel Studded Fin Tubes are a type of metal tubes which have studs welded onto the base metal tube. These studs are arranged in a specific formation throughout the surface of the base tube. They are usually used in boilers and oil refineries. These studded fin tubes increase the surface area for higher heat transfer, so they are often used for reheating. ASTM A213 T9 Studded Fin Tube is made up of a low carbon alloy steel which is suitable for high heat and high pressure applications such as chemical, power generation, petroleum and oil & gas industrial applications.
The steel studs are automatically resistance welded to the base tube, producing high quality forge welds. The welding process makes the combination of any grades for studs and tube: carbon, alloy, stainless steels and high nickel alloys. Alloy steel tubes are stress-relieved after studding, according to the relevant specifications for the class and grade of steel used.
