General Description:
The ASTM A270 TP304 grade pertains to standard specifications for sanitary modules. The ASTM A270 TP304 Tube, composed primarily of nickel and chromium, is designed with an austenitic composition. This composition gives the tubes exceptional resistance to corrosive and reducing media in stress-induced environments. The ASTM A270 TP304 Tubing displays excellent tolerance to oxidative media and exhibits improved workability and strength. These tubes are also malleable and can have threaded, beveled, or plain ends.
The A270 Type 304 grade is typically produced in seamless and welded forms. The A270 Type 304 Seamless Sanitary Tubing is manufactured using the extrusion process, where hot steel billets are passed through metal to shape them accurately in the required dimensions. Due to their absence of welds or seams, these tubes possess greater strength and load-bearing capacity compared to the ASTM A270 TP304 Stainless Steel Welded Sanitary Tubing. However, the welded tubing is cheaper than seamless tubes and can be fabricated in different sizes, which is not possible with the latter. The ASME SA270 Grade 304 Welded Tube is produced by rolling sheets or strips and subsequently welding them using various shop welding procedures. The pressurized vessel modules undergo multiple tests and screening procedures before being deemed suitable for use in extreme conditions. The ASME SA270 Gr 304 Welded Tube has a long lifespan and does not deteriorate under harsh environmental conditions. These tubes can be obtained in sizes larger than 12 inches or in customized lengths.
