ASTM B466 C70600 UNS70600 Copper Nickel Alloy Seamless Pipe
ASTM B466 C70600 or UNS70600 is a specification for seamless copper-nickel pipe and tube. This alloy is also commonly known as Copper Nickel 90/10 because it is made up of 90% copper and 10% nickel alloy. It also contains small amounts of iron and manganese to enhance the corrosion resistance in seawater and other harsh environments.
The UNS70600 is the Unified Numbering System designation for this material. This system is an alloy designation system widely accepted in North America for wrought and cast copper and copper alloy products. It is intended to simplify the correlation of the large number of alloy numbering systems used by industry.
