Two manufacturing methods of Couplings are Forging(Applied for carbon, alloy and stainless steel material) and Casting(Applied for cast iron material).
ASTM A105 Carbon Steel Forged Half and Full Couplings have good resistance to work in crevice corrosion, stress, pitting, and corrosion cracking conditions. ASTM A105 Carbon steel Forged Half and Full Coupling can also be used in a highly reducing and oxidizing environment containing acids, bases, and alkali. They have excellent tensile strength, good durability, toughness, long working life, and excellent ductility.
